Position Description:
Our client, a major player in the global mining sector, is seeking a Senior Product Owner to support the evolution of its MES (Manufacturing Execution System) platforms. This mandate is part of a strategic initiative aimed at modernizing manufacturing operations and optimizing the value chain.
The PO will operate in a technologically advanced environment, including industrial data platforms, predictive analytics tools, and automation systems. While the PO will not directly use these technologies, they must understand their operational impact to effectively guide product priorities.
Roles and Responsibilities
– Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog in alignment with business objectives.
– Collaborate closely with IT teams, business analysts, and end users.
– Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, etc.).
– Ensure deliverables meet business needs and quality standards.
– Manage cross-team dependencies and challenges related to MES system integration.
– Contribute to the product vision and strategic roadmap.
Profile
– Proven experience (7+ years) as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
– Background in industrial or manufacturing environments, ideally with MES systems.
– Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
– Bilingual (French and English) – fluent in both written and spoken communication.
– Ability to simplify technical concepts and influence stakeholders.
– Strong leadership, autonomy, and analytical skills.
Assets
– Familiarity with MES solutions (e.g., Wonderware, GE Digital, Siemens Opcenter).
– Experience in multi-site or international environments.
– Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO) or equivalent.
Location: The client would like to have someone in Saguenay, but is open to elsewhere in Quebec.
