Position Description:
CGI is seeking a passionate Developer/Analyst to contribute to the evolution and maintenance of payroll applications managed by the IT team at the Payroll Service Center. You will play a key role in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of critical systems for our clients.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Functional Analysis:
– Draft functional analysis documentation for the evolution and maintenance of applications developed in RPG IV on IBMi.
– Perform technical analyses and effort estimations.
Development and Maintenance:
– Develop or supervise developments in RPG IV and potentially in Java.
– Participate in unit and functional testing, ensuring the follow-up of acceptance tests.
– Provide support and resolve application issues.
Collaboration:
– Work closely with technical and functional teams.
– Actively participate in agile development methodologies.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Experience:
– Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, including at least 4 years in analysis/development.
Essential Technical Skills:
– Expertise in RPG IV programming within an AS400/IBMi environment.
– Strong knowledge of IBMi-specific concepts: DDS files, print files, queues, etc.
– Advanced proficiency with IBM DB2, SQL, and Linux/AIX environments (asset).
– Experience with Java, Java EE, JPA, and JVM optimization for IBMi (strong asset).
– Familiarity with C/C++, C#, VB.NET, and tools like iReport Jasper (asset).
General Skills:
– Knowledge of payroll, HR solutions, or ERP domains (asset).
– Ability to model and analyze data in a structured manner.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
– Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
