Position Description:
Location: Ottawa, to work hybrid (2-3 days per week)
Eligible for Secret Security Clearance requirements
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Resources will be responsible for the following activities and deliverables:
• oversee various technical teams to deliver objectives and monitor, track, and report on status and metrics of each initiative, as well as coordination across Cyber and ITS teams.
• Oversee project management aspects of the planning and implementation of initiatives under the Cyber Portfolio to meet business requirements in a secure manner
• Develop program/project plans, draft risk register and obtain required approvals
• Produce other project management related deliverables as required by the project team (governance model, implementation plan, transition approach and plan, monthly updates, etc.)
• Ensure projects are taking an agile approach to workload management and scope
• Develop and maintain program/project status dashboard
• Report progress regularly to the management and program sponsors
• Collaborate with project managers and project controllers within the team to analyze resource assignments
• Work with the project team to enable and support the initiative (business analyst, change management, communications, etc.)
• Collaborate with the stakeholders and business partners to ensure understanding of client needs and support effective resolution of client inquiries and concerns
• In some cases, consult with stakeholders to define business requirements that must be met by new or enhanced cyber security operational processes
• Lead daily scrum meetings to provide guidance to the technical teams to identify and prioritize deliverables
• Provide advice and guidance to others on matters relating to project management practices and methodologies
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
The Consultant should have the following qualifications and skills:
• University Degree or College Diploma in computer science, engineering or business administration
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of information technology or cyber security
• A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in overseeing a project team for the definition and implementation of cyber security solutions in a complex environment
• A minimum of two (2) years of business analysis experience in IT Projects (preferable Cyber Security projects)
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into application solutions
• Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise documents for a technical audience
• Demonstrated experience in facilitation and problem resolution
Additional Qualifications
The following will also be considered:
• SCRUM Master Certification
• PMP Certification
• Demonstrated experience in coaching project management methodologies and approach to project teams.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing effective and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience with supporting Cyber technology projects or Cloud projects (Microsoft Azure) will be considered an asset (from a project management or business analyst perspective)
• Ability to meet the Secret Reliability Clearance requirements
• English essential, French will be considered an asset
