Position Description
Leverage your advanced expertise in data engineering and development to design, build, and deliver robust, high-performing solutions aligned with the client’s strategic needs. Act as the principal developer (Lead) on large-scale projects involving data acquisition, processing, and analysis.

Your future duties and responsibilities
– Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines (batch and real-time) while ensuring quality, security, and performance standards are met.
– Translate business requirements into effective, scalable, and well-documented technical solutions.
– Lead and mentor data developers, conduct code reviews, share best practices, and foster team skill development.
– Collaborate closely with architects, business analysts, and subject matter experts to ensure solution consistency and business value.
– Contribute to the industrialization and automation of data processing (CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring).
– Implement logical and physical data models, considering governance and data quality principles.
– Optimize data warehouses and data lakes for performance and scalability.
– Stay up to date with emerging technologies in the Data & Cloud ecosystem, and recommend relevant improvements.
– Produce clear technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
– Strong experience in data engineering and development (ETL/ELT, real-time ingestion, streaming, distributed processing).
– Excellent command of SQL, Python, and big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks).
– Solid knowledge of DataOps, CI/CD, and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, Git, automation).
– Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally Azure and Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Event Hub, Power BI, Purview).
– Familiarity with data modeling, governance, and quality management.
– Strong collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
– Proven experience mentoring or technically leading data developer teams.

Education
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics-Computer Science, or a related field.

Professional Experience
– Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering and development.
– Proven experience working in cloud environments (ideally Azure).
– Demonstrated success in building and deploying data pipelines and analytical solutions.
– Experience providing technical leadership to data development teams.
– ADF (Azure Data Factory) est obligatoire.
