Position Description:
Join CGI’s Middleware team as a Control-M Infrastructure Administrator, responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Control-M platform. This role focuses on the infrastructure and system components of Control-M, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance across enterprise environments. You will collaborate with other middleware specialists and application teams to deliver robust workload automation infrastructure.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and upgrade Control-M core components (Enterprise Manager, Servers, Agents, Plug-ins) across distributed environments.
• Perform system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning for Control-M infrastructure.
• Manage Control-M security, including user roles, authentication, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Implement and maintain Control-M add-ons such as Manage File Transfer and Workload Change Manager.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, coordinate with OS, database, and network teams for resolution.
• Automate routine administration tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Shell).
• Maintain detailed documentation for installations, upgrades, and operational procedures.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution for Control-M environments.
• Ensure adherence to middleware governance, security policies, and audit requirements.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 5+ years of experience in Control-M infrastructure administration.
• Strong knowledge of Control-M architecture, including Enterprise Manager, Servers, and Agents.
• Experience with Control-M version upgrades, migrations, and patching.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with database connectivity (Oracle, SQL Server) for Control-M components.
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Shell) for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Qualifications
• Experience with Control-M add-ons (Manage File Transfer, Workload Change Manager).
• Knowledge of middleware technologies and integration patterns.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• ITIL certification or experience in IT service management processes.
Education
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
