Position Description:
Role requires working from lab 1-2 days a week in downtown Toronto offic
Your future duties and responsibilities:
leadership & Strategy:
Lead and manage the test automation team within the POD, ensuring alignment with business and technology goals.
Define and implement automation strategies to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and accelerate delivery cycles.
Advocate for automation best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Automation Framework & Execution:
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure automation coverage for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Collaboration & Governance:
Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Quality Engineers to define automation requirements and acceptance criteria.
Establish automation metrics, track execution progress, and provide regular reports on automation effectiveness.
Drive test data management and ensure the availability of test environments.
Mentorship & Upskilling:
Mentor and upskill team members on automation best practices, tools, and technologies.
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards to ensure maintainability and reliability.
Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Required Skills & Experience:
4+ years of experience in test automation with expertise in tools like Selenium, Playwright, , RestAssured, .
Strong experience in scripting languages like Java, Python, JavaScript,
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Proficiency in API testing and automation.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
