Position Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced GIS Web Developer with 2-5 years of experience to join our team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web-based GIS applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
• Customize and extend ArcGIS Web AppBuilder and ArcGIS Experience Builder applications.
• Work with APIs and third-party services to enhance GIS functionalities and integrate GIS applications with other enterprise systems like Document and Asset Management systems.
• Responsible for creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
• Ensure that application architecture meets business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing web applications.
• Understand customer requirements, develop GIS application to meet business needs, and conduct demos.
• Maintain and support application according to changing business requirements.
• Assist in data integrity and quality assurance activities to ensure application stability.
• Recommend new technologies/techniques for application development and stay current with latest developments in GIS field.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in GIS web development.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS API for JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
• Strong understanding of web services, REST APIs, and geospatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, KML, shapefiles, File Geodatabase and Enterprise Geodatabase).
• Experience developing customized widgets for integrations between GIS and other enterprise systems.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise components including Portal, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Datastore, ArcGIS Web AppBuilder and Experience Builder.
• Good knowledge of responsive design and user interface best practices.
• Familiarity with source control tools such as GitHub.
• Strong understanding of data management best practices
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and with other team members.

Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with document and asset management systems.
• Familiarity with analysis tools in ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience with Survey123 and Field Maps will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Python and/or Arcade.
• Familiarity with OpenText API
• Experience with 3D data analysis
