Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer with over 7 years of hands-on experience in building scalable, high-quality web applications using Java and Angular. As a senior developer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of both the frontend and backend components of our enterprise-grade platforms.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
– Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs) and Angular.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
– Lead and mentor junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.
– Implement unit testing, integration testing, and participate in CI/CD pipelines.
– Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
– Define our next unit and integration test frameworks and standards.
– Ensure we have the proper tools in place so that we can ensure our applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities and we follow standard security practices.
– Design and develop highly complex and custom components.
– Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
– Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues effectively.
– Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
– Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (Alternate locations: Moncton, Fredericton, Stratford or St. John’s)
– Hybrid: 3-4 days required in office weekly
– 7+ years of professional experience in software development.
– Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate).
– Expert-level knowledge of Angular (preferably v10+), TypeScript.
– Solid understanding of RESTful web services and API design.
– Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
– Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and other DevOps tools.
– Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
– Experience with microservices architecture.
– Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
– Knowledge of AWS cloud platform.
– Good to have experience with automated testing frameworks.
– Exposure to CI/CD practices and tools like GitLab CI/CD, etc.
