Senior Salesforce Developer
As a member of our Digital Solutions Technology team at IGM, you will be joining a highly collaborative group with experience in and passion for delivering innovative solutions for our clients, advisors, and employees using the latest technology and insights. The Senior Salesforce Developer will work closely with project managers, systems analysts, business architects, solutions architects, vendors, and infrastructure specialists, sharing leadership responsibility for system delivery and quality through an Agile delivery methodology.
Role Overview:
The Senior Salesforce Developer will be responsible for the development, and integration of new and existing Salesforce solutions within projects. This role requires a strong technical background, including hands-on experience with Flows, configuration, and coding. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical ability, desire to learn and grow, communication and team collaboration within large projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, implement and test customized software applications built on Salesforce’s Force.com platform.
- Development of Salesforce functionality using the Salesforce API, APEX, Aura and LWC Components and other tools that extend the product.
- Responsible for implementing partial or full solutions
- Providing technical support and input on the application of technology to the business, quality assurance and support areas
- Providing planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment
- Conduct unit tests and assist in test preparations to ensure data integrity
- Provide estimates for software development work
- Work closely with Project Managers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Systems Analysts, Systems Architects and other Software Developers
Core Competencies and Experience:
- Post secondary relevant degree/diploma (Computer Science, Computer Analyst/Programmer or equivalent)
- 4+ years of experience with application development. Java or Salesforce experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce developer. Salesforce Administrator and Developer Certifications are a bonus.
- In-depth knowledge of APEX, Aura and LWC components
- Experience creating flows
- Knowledge of Salesforce security models, permissions and sharing
- Experience with JavaScript, CSS and HTML
- Must have experience with design and implementation of custom objects, Apex classes, Asynchronous Apex, controllers, Bulk API, Batch Apex, Triggers, SOQL and SOSL, Web Services (SOAP and REST), Apex Callouts and Unit test classes.
- Experience with source code and release management tools, i.e. Github, Jenkins, Sonarqube
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal with the ability to work with a team or individually
- Self-starter, able to develop strong relationships with stakeholders, meet tight deadlines and tolerate change and ambiguity
- Ability to provide creative solutions and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Proven experience working on large, complex, enterprise level solutions
- Proven success setting work priorities, multi-tasking and balancing varying demands
- Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness in completing tasks, and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Dedication to keeping up to date with current trends and best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of the Salesforce product suite including Sales Cloud, Financial/Service Cloud, App Cloud, Communities, Salesforce1, My Salesforce and AppExchange solutions
- Experience with creating custom share records through Apex
- Experience with Trigger frameworks
- Experience with Omnistudio
- Knowledge of configuration such as User Access Policies, Approval Processes, etc.
- Experience with Salesforce community portal administration and community builder concepts
- Mulesoft Integration with on-premise or third-party solutions using RESTful Web Services
- Experience in data migration using Workbench, Data loader, Import Wizard
- Ability to lead and mentor others
- A commitment to the Agile methodology. You have experience working in a SCRUM environment.
- Previous work at a large financial institution would be a definite asset
