Position Description:
We are Canada’s largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we’re still growing! Join us as a “Developer Lead (Angular and Spring boot)”.
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto (250 Yonge Street, Toronto) and/or Client office in Toronto at a minimum 2 days per week – subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
• Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
• Assume leadership of new projects, from conceptualization to deployment
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design
• Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities and participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
• Design and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
• Work primarily in Angular and Spring boot.
• Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs
• Collaborate across multiple teams via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent videoconferences
• Candidate will spend 60% of time leading the team of developers (Onshore and Offshore) and rest doing hands on development.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Candidates should have 10+ years of Java Fullstack Development hands on experience
• Must have skills – Angular (Version 12 or later) and Springboot.
• Nice to have skills Node JS, Oracle, AWS Lambda, CDK and Fargate etc.
• Other Tool/Technologies/Framework: APIs, REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, Swagger, OpenAPI, Microservices architecture, Kafka, Redux, OAuth will be nice to have.
• Experience with Cloud services and DevOps concepts: OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Artifactory, BitBucket, Bamboo, Ansible, GitHub.
• Comfortable working in an Agile/SCRUM setting – ability to manage multiple priorities; ability to adapt to changing priorities
• AWS Developer and AWS Architect Professional Certification is desired
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Candidates with experience in wealth portfolio will be given preference
