Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office -250 Yonge Street 2-3 times per week – subject to change at any time.

Business BA role requires individual to be able to document requirements, process flow by working discovery and requirement elicitation sessions with both business and technology stakeholders. A business analyst is a recognized practitioner in the analysis, definition and modelling of business processes, requirements, systems and data with stakeholder engagement in at least one methodology; for example, Agile or Waterfall.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Identify stakeholder objectives and their business needs.
• Investigates and agrees complex business and system functional and non-functional requirements.
• Must be able to identify , solicit and document various categories of requirements.
• Document business requirements from various business stakeholders like Product, legal, compliance, digital, fraud, risk , Backoffice, frontline , communication teams.
• Must have worked on good size project team demonstrating ability to manage complex project with multiple stakeholders.
• Must be able to document solution requirement package including use case, user interface document, print specifications, business rules, functional and non functional requirement documentation.
• Has working knowledge of JIRA , CONFLUENCE tools to write requirements, artifacts.
• Create current and future state process flow.
• Perform documentation walk through , seek stakeholder agreement and signoff as per client delivery framework.
• Follow change control process for incremental scope. Have great scope management skills.
• Define scope and business priorities, and could hold the vision for, change initiatives of medium size and complexity.
• Create requirement traceability matrix and be available for developers and QA for requirement clarification.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Business Analysis Techniques.
• Preferred Domain Knowledge : Retail Banking – Deposit and Lending.
• Information & Business Process Modelling.
• Requirements Engineering.
• Business Solutions analysis & selection.
• Extremely strong Communication skills – both oral and written.

Qualification:
• University /College Degree.
• Good to have BA Certifications like CBAP
• Work experience in Agile and Waterfall software methodologies
