Position Description:
The developer/analyst is responsible for participating in payroll application evolution and maintenance projects under the responsibility of the Payroll Service Center IT team.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
-Analysis and drafting of functional analysis files for the evolution and maintenance of RPG IV applications on IBMi
-Knowledge of the Web and JAVA programming language (a considerable asset)
-Technical analysis of files
-Effort estimation
Realization and/or follow-up of the realization with RPG IV language and possibly in JAVA
Unit and functional testing, follow-up of acceptance tests
Follow-up, support and resolution of application problems.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
-Minimum 8 years’ experience in IT, minimum 4 years in functional analysis
-Excellent time and priority management skills
-Excellent knowledge of RPG IV programming in an AS400-IBMi environment
-Excellent teamwork skills, good leadership skills
-Knowledge of payroll, HR or ERP solutions
-Knowledge of agile development methodologies
-Knowledge of data analysis and modeling methodologies
-Excellent knowledge of application development in a WEB (Java) and AIX/Linux environment (a considerable asset)
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
Essential technical specializations :
RPG with technical aspects of DDS file, Printer file, Spool file, Display file, Library list and other IBMi-specific aspects
-IBMi / AS400 and CL / CMD
-IBM DB2
-Java, Java EE, JPA and knowledge of JVM optimization specific to IBMi
-MSSQL DATABASE
-C/C++
-C#, VB.NET
-SQL
Jasper -iReport (an asset)
-Linux, AIX and BASH scripts (an asset)
-Data area, Data queue and/or Job queue (a considerable asset)
