Job description
You’ll have the opportunity to grow capabilities and accelerate your development through our Indigenous Student Internship program, open to Indigenous post-secondary students across Canada. We are offering roles in business analysis, project management, software development and UX design. By joining the CGI Indigenous Student Internship program, you will have access to:

• Working flexible hours depending on the project you are allocated to and as mutually agreed upon with your manager

We are looking for individuals who are interested in building a long-term career at CGI as there is a potential to join us permanently after the completion of your internship, depending on opportunities available.

Overview of Teams
When you join the Indigenous Student Internship program, you may have the opportunity to work with one of the teams mentioned below. Depending on your profile, your resume may be shared with other hiring teams, in addition to the ones noted below, if they have suitable opportunities available.

1) We’re seeking talented individuals to join our team and support our digital transformation initiative within a federal government client. This exciting opportunity involves working on cutting-edge projects aimed at modernizing government services and infrastructure through innovative digital solutions. If you’re passionate about driving positive change, leveraging technology to improve citizen experiences, and collaborating with a dynamic team, we want to hear from you. 2) CGI’s Atlantic Business Unit with 4 offices in Atlantic Canada operates a global delivery center that provides services to financial services, insurance and public sector clients across the globe. You will have an opportunity to work on client projects within our diverse and inclusive environment that supports learning and development, mentorship and career exploration.

Position Descriptions
1) Junior Business Analyst
As a Junior Business Analyst you’ll gather requirements, analyze processes, and collaborate with teams to implement digital solutions that enhance efficiency and service delivery. This is an opportunity to work alongside the team that is implementing a digital transformation project for one of CGI’s federal government clients. It’s a unique chance to gain hands-on experience driving impactful change in a complex environment.

2) Project Intern
As the Project Intern, you’ll play a central role in ensuring the success of projects by facilitating communication, tracking timelines, and coordinating resources. Your responsibilities include assisting with documentation, reports, and presentations, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. This role offers valuable experience in project management within a leading IT and business consulting organization, contributing directly to project success and client satisfaction.

3) Jr. Full Stack Java Developer
The Junior Full Stack Java Developer position offers an exciting opportunity for entry-level developers to dive into the world of full-stack development using Java technologies. Working closely with experienced developers and project teams, you’ll have the chance to learn and grow your skills in Java programming, web development, and database management. Whether it’s crafting user-friendly interfaces or optimizing database performance, you’ll contribute to delivering high-quality solutions for CGI’s clients. This role is ideal for passionate individuals eager to kickstart their careers in software development within a collaborative and supportive environment.

4) Jr. UX Designer
As a Junior UX Designer, you’ll embark on an exciting journey to shape user experiences across various digital platforms and products. Collaborating closely with senior designers and project teams, you’ll play a key role in creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces that meet both user needs and business objectives. This role offers an invaluable opportunity to learn and grow your skills in UX design methodologies, tools, and best practices while contributing to impactful projects for CGI’s diverse clientele. If you’re passionate about crafting seamless digital experiences and eager to make a meaningful impact, this role is the perfect launchpad for your UX design career.

National Wage Range Disclaimer
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range across Canada is $22.50 – $31.00 per hour.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Eligibility Requirements
• To be eligible you must self-identify as an Indigenous Person (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis)
• Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Canada
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• For select roles, the ability to be granted an Enhanced level security clearance is a requirement
