Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business  and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms.  You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
We seek a skilled Payments Platform Engineer with extensive experience in multi-cloud environments and a strong understanding of various hyperscalers. The ideal candidate should be proficient in DevSecOps practices, ensuring security and compliance across complex payment systems. This role requires working with diverse technologies, supporting logging and monitoring capabilities, and optimizing the integration of secure and resilient payment solutions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage payment solutions across multicloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices, integrating security and compliance measures throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and optimize secure payment infrastructure, ensuring fault tolerance, resiliency, and scalability.
  • Configure and manage advanced logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for real-time performance and security insights.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and integrate complex solutions, including middleware and cloud-native services.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and ISO/IEC standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to payment platform integration, network communication, and performance optimization.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in multi-cloud environments, with a strong understanding of AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud and GCP services
  • Hands-on experience in DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), and automation tools
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, encryption standards, and data protection methods.
  • Proficiency in logging and monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus) to ensure platform stability and performance
  • Proven ability to work with complex systems, integrating various components, including databases, microservices, and APIs
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and ability to implement security best practices across platforms
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, particularly in cloud-native environments and payment systems
