Interior Health is seeking to fill an integral role within the Senior Executive Team. Reporting directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer the Vice President Clinical Operations, Interior Health South is responsible for acute and home health community services, including primary care, mental health, long-term care, and allied health services across the Central and South Okanagan, and the Kootenay Boundary service delivery areas. The Vice President will enhance integration, accountability, and transparency for operations across these service delivery streams in order to set new standards of excellence in the delivery of health services. 

As a senior leader of Interior Health this is an outstanding opportunity to improve patient access and experience by promoting service delivery supporting the integration of services with an emphasis on shifting care from acute facilities to various community programs and services. As a transformational change leader this position establishes and maintains services that support the strategic direction of the organization, incorporating new and existing health needs assessments, service integration and community consultation with the focus on key populations.

Qualifications


This position requires comprehensive knowledge of current BC healthcare polices, healthcare issues, trends and government directives. The ideal candidate will be Masters prepared with at least 15 years’ experience in progressive leadership roles ideally gained in a large complex, multi-site, unionized environment.
