Position Description:

Are you passionate about people? The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an active contributor to our Atlantic Talent Acquisition team, leading recruitment and sourcing for challenging roles and following our hiring processes. As part of our team, you will collaborate with internal partners and candidates to ensure an efficient and smooth hiring process. Based in Halifax, NS, this hybrid position requires 2-3 days a week in office.

Partnering with regional leadership, you will build and implement innovative strategies to source and attract top talent, supporting the business strategy.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for a wide variety of IT roles across Atlantic Canada
• Create talent sourcing strategy to attract candidates for hard-to-fill positions
• Maintain accurate and complete data in our applicant tracking system
• Build out talent pipelines to help develop an ongoing pool of candidates
• Collaborate with Hiring Managers to understand talent profiles and build partnerships
• Act as a brand ambassador for CGI, ensuring an excellent candidate experience
• Utilize LinkedIn and other social networks – to promote the CGI brand and attract the best candidates to CGI
• Participate in recruitment events locally (universities, colleges, and professional networking events)
• Support various projects for talent acquisition, including event coordination, marketing, and market insights research
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and recruitment technology to continually enhance the team’s recruitment efforts.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Strong knowledge of candidates and talent market in Atlantic Canada
• 5+ years of full cycle and high-volume IT recruitment experience
• Post-secondary degree in a related field
• A track record for delivering high quality results and ensuring customer satisfaction with key internal/external partners
• Experience using a variety of recruiting ATS’s and tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and more
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong analytical capability with a data-curious nature and ability to provide relevant insights to leaders, experience using AI
• Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation skills
