As a SimCorp Dimension (SCD) Consultant, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for providing strategic guidance and expertise in the development, enhancement, and support of our SimCorp Dimension modules. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration and operation of our investment finance applications. Your deep knowledge of SimCorp Dimension, relational databases, Snowflake, and financial software technologies will be crucial in driving efficiency and innovation within our IT environment. Additionally, you will provide expert advice on the configuration and integration of alternative investments in SCD.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead key enhancements to SimCorp Dimension (SCD).
-Reduce vendor dependency and costs by transferring critical SimCorp knowledge to internal teams.
-Implement new instrument types and manage the operations team to reduce daily incidents.
-Address security vulnerabilities to safeguard application integrity.
-Support system configuration, maintenance, and enhancements.
-Engineer automated solutions using stored procedures and diverse technology stacks.
-Assist with the configuration and integration of alternative investments in SCD.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
-Over 15 years of experience in information technology with a strong focus on investment finance applications.
-Extensive experience with SimCorp Dimension modules including Security Master, Pricing, Index Data, Performance, Accounting, Treasury, and Investment Operations.
-Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams, optimizing processes, and delivering scalable solutions.
-Expertise in relational databases (SQL, Data Format Setup, Extractors, Communication Servers).
-Proficiency in financial messaging technologies (XML/XSLT for SWIFT, VB.NET, Microsoft Visual C#, Oracle PL/SQL, Sybase databases).
-Experience with Snowflake.
-Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with experience in operations and support, agile leadership, process improvement, and vendor & stakeholder relations.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Oracle Certified SQL Expert.
-Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
-Advanced PL/SQL and SQL Tuning Course from Oracle.
-Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and ITIL v3 Foundations Certification.
