Position Description:
We are currently hiring for a Sr. Delivery Manager who is local to Ottawa. The Sr. Delivery Manager will lead and deliver projects within scope, budget, and timelines while ensuring quality and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator along with being proactive, organized, and must possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Security clearance: Reliability Clearance granted preferably or eligible (5+ years residing in Canada)
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are executed within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Manage multiple, concurrent projects ensuring quality, on-time, and on-budget implementation.
• Provide regular updates to the program leadership, sub-program leads and PMO teams.
• Fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Identify potential risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues.
• Provide regular status reports, performance metrics, and dashboards to key stakeholders, including senior leadership and government representatives.
• Must strongly focus on client relationship and management
• Mentor team members on best practice consulting – facilitating workshops, documenting requirements etc.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of experience in IT Project /Delivery Management.
• Excellent consulting, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Excellent client relationship and business acumen.
• Demonstrated experience with managing a large transformation project that impacts the finance and accounting functions.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing project schedules, using the Microsoft Project
• Project Management Professional (PMP, PgMP) Certification
• Prosci Management of Change Certification (ADKAR).
Good to have
• Experience in Human Capital Management Applications consulting and / or project management
• Working experience with Federal government clients
