About the Job
The Professional Practice Leader | Pharmacy, is responsible for both administrative and professional leadership within the Pharmacy department. Administratively, this position oversees the department’s administration, supervision, planning, and budgeting, reporting directly to the Manager (or designate) and advising on budgets, workload, labour relations, and personnel matters. The Professional Practice Leader – Pharmacy ensures compliance with all institutional and College of Pharmacists of BC regulations, policies, and procedures.

Professionally, this position ensures that Pharmacy standards align with regulatory and accrediting body standards and relevant legislation. Provides clinical guidance to Pharmacy staff, advancing pharmaceutical care within the hospital. This role is pivotal in supporting departmental and regional pharmacy initiatives through collaboration with local and regional pharmacy leaders, physicians, and nursing leaders to achieve overall goals and objectives.

This is a Permanent Full Time (1.00) opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.

Qualfications
• Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized College of Pharmacy;
• Current registration with the College of Pharmacists of BC;
• Successful completion of Departmental Management Program Certificate CHA or HDM or equivalent course; and
• Minimum of five years hospital pharmacy experience and two years’ related management experience.
