Position Details
The Vice President, IGM Technology & Operations, Strategy, Planning & Analysis will drive key financial strategies and decision-making processes across IGM’s Tech and Ops functions. This role will oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for these businesses, ensuring that the organization has the financial insights needed to support both operational efficiency and strategic growth. This includes planning, forecasting, expense management, management reporting and decision support.  In addition, this role will be accountable for driving IGM’s Strategic Initiative portfolio through running the Strategy Execution Office – IGM’s strategic project planning, prioritization and governance team.  The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leadership (CEO-level and IGM EVPs) to align financial outcomes with the company’s overall strategy, and provide recommendations based on data-driven insights.
Responsibilities:

Forecasting and Planning

Oversee the annual and quarterly financial forecasting and budgeting process, working with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives
Monitor and assess financial performance against forecasts and budgets, providing actionable insights to improve outcomes
Optimize forecasting and planning approaches, tools and processes to improve effectiveness

Decision Support

Deliver insights and recommendations on key business decisions, including capital investments, M&A opportunities, and resource allocation.
Drive continuous improvement in decision-making processes, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Drive or support special projects relevant to Technology, Operations and Corporate functions

Strategic initiatives

Work collaboratively with senior leaders to shape IGM strategic initiative portfolio – including understanding and prioritizing demand annually (and as required mid-year)
Drive governance of Strategic Initiative portfolio including holding teams accountable for delivering on-budget and for achieving benefits

Management Reporting

Lead the development and delivery of financial management reporting and financial presentations to senior leadership
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track financial performance and progress against strategic goals.
Ensure that reporting systems and processes are efficient, automated, and aligned with industry best practices

Expense management

Work with senior leaders to ensure expenses stay on plan
Identify risks to annual expense plan and levers to close any gaps

Team leadership

Lead and mentor a high-performing team of financial analysts and managers, ensuring continuous professional development and a collaborative team culture.
Foster relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and financial stewardship within IGM Support Functions division. 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
MBA, CFA and/or accounting designation preferred
10+ years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting, including experience managing technology financials
Financial Institution and/or Asset/Wealth management experience is an asset (but not required)
Deep experience in financial management of technology organizations.
Proven track record in developing and implementing financial strategies that drive profitability.
Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and decision support
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on building and developing high-performing teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
