DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

The Client Account Management & Specialized Support Team is responsible for the accurate and responsive execution of transactions and events associated with client accounts. In addition we provide service and support to the Consultant Network and our business partners on all administrative aspects to a client’s account to include processing client requests. The primary objective of the team is to deliver client centric holistic experience through continuous improvements, efficiencies and collaboration with our business partners in Investments, Insurance and Mortgage/Banking.  
 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Client Account Management & Specialized Support is a critical enabler of strategic initiatives such as process automation, transformation and new product and technology launches. In this agile environment, the operations team is continuously adapting to new developments and delivering optimal business solutions that create seamless & modern experiences, enhance productivity & promote employee engagement. The Manager, Client Account Management & Specialized Support is responsible for daily operation of professional and senior administrative team members for a variety of complex, exception based handling.  The Manager provides guidance through effective coaching and developing team members with a focus on achieving high quality while maximizing productivity to ensure timely completion of client requests.  The Manager also contributes to continuous improvement of processes and procedures and all associated change management arising from strategic, divisional or department lead initiatives.  Position will report to a Senior Manager.  

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage Human Resource complement:

    • Recruitment, training, development and performance management with a focus on achieving and exceeding quality and productivity expectations

  • Coordination and implementation of corporate initiatives, policies and procedures related to business processes, regulatory/risk management

  • Provides guidance to team members through change management and actively promotes employee engagement. 

  • Proactively maintains knowledge of business unit policy & procedures and communicates changes as required and applies business knowledge to contribute to resolution of escalated and time sensitive issues. 

  • Collaborates with leadership group to ensure service levels are achieved and team resources are utilized efficiently. 

  • Continually evaluates quality and productivity metrics and provides timely coaching to team members.  Analyzes performance metric data to identify root cause issues and trends and takes action to improve overall results.

  • Provides business and product expertise on departmental, divisional or corporate initiatives and assists with the oversight and implementation of business process improvement initiatives.

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 years of office experience in a diverse client centric service environment, including formal leadership and preferably in the Financial Services industry

  • Post-secondary education in a business discipline and completion or enrollment in industry recognized courses (e.g. IFIC, CFP) would be an asset

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing demands.

  • Ability to work independently in a multitask environment with a diverse group of individuals

  • Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Strong PC skills and practical experience with Windows XP, Excel and MS Word.

  • Bilingual (English-French)

  • Proven strengths in the areas of:

    • Communication – Proficient in verbal and written communication

    • Leadership – Efficient use of resources, recognition of contributions, fostering development of team

    • Accountability – Ownership and responsibility of individual and team actions to achieve results

    • Teamwork – Fosters an environment of cooperation and collaboration to achieve common goals
