Position Description:

CGI is seeking a highly skilled Lead Cloud/Solution Architect to spearhead the design and implementation of a multi-account AWS strategy. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the architecture and integration of cloud solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving the successful migration of APIs, optimizing cloud performance, and ensuring the scalability and security of cloud infrastructure.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Cloud Strategy and Design: Lead the development of multi-account AWS strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the organization’s business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technical standards. Design cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective, supporting ’s long-term digital transformation goals.
• Solution Integration: Oversee the integration of cloud solutions within existing IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless interoperability with on-premises systems and other cloud platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all components of the cloud architecture work together effectively.
• API Migration Leadership: Lead the migration of APIs from legacy systems to AWS, ensuring that the process is efficient, secure, and aligned with best practices. Provide technical guidance and support to the migration teams, ensuring that all APIs are optimized for performance and reliability in the new environment.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner, helping stakeholders make informed decisions.
• Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously improving ’s cloud architecture to ensure it remains cutting-edge. Provide thought leadership on cloud best practices, tools, and technologies, and mentor other architects and engineers within the organization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in cloud architecture and solution design, particularly within AWS environments.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud transformation projects, including API migration and multi-account strategy implementation.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, including containerization, microservices, serverless computing, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Considered strong assets:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integrating on-premises systems with cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in regulated industries, particularly finance.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration in cloud environments.
• Strong background in enterprise architecture and the ability to align technical solutions with business strategy.
