The Programs and Corporate Initiatives Branch is an operational unit reporting to the ADM Transportation Policy and Programs.  The Branch provides direction and leadership in key program areas related to all modes of transportation – active (cycling and pedestrian), aviation, marine, rail and road – and corporate priorities.  The Branch administers funding programs to support active transportation, climate action, airport infrastructure and the 5 Point Transportation Action Plan for the Highway 16 corridor.

A key priority for the Ministry and the Programs and Corporate Initiatives Branch is the implementation of the recently released Provincial Active Transportation Strategy (the Strategy). The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure works with other ministries, agencies, non-profit organizations, local governments, Indigenous communities and the transportation sector to develop and deliver the Strategy. Programs and Corporate Initiatives Branch leads this work on behalf of the ministry through the coordination, delivery and facilitation of programs, projects and policies to ensure the continued uptake of Active Transportation by citizens across the province.  

The Program Evaluation Analyst reports to the Director Strategic Initiatives and Active Transportation Grants and is accountable for evaluating active transportation programs and providing recommendations for program innovations/changes to support the implementation of the Active Transportation Strategy.  The position interacts with representatives of local governments regarding cost sharing agreements and is accountable for financial administration of these agreements on infrastructure projects.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Sciences, Business Administration, Statistics, or related field and two (2) years related experience;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience must include all of the following:

  • Experience building successful relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing macroscale strategic initiatives.
  • Experience analyzing and evaluating program performance as it pertains to overarching, organization-wide, corporate strategies.
  • Experience applying program evaluation and/or performance management theories, principles, models and related systems/technologies.
  • Project Management experience.
