Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our Toronto office 2-3 times per week – subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking stakeholders and team members.
• Apply quality assurance principles to ensure the highest standards of software quality.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Develop comprehensive test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Execute test cases and document results.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not affected by new changes.
• Develop detailed test plans outlining the scope, approach, resources, and schedule of testing activities.
• Create test strategies that align with project goals and quality standards.
• Prepare exit reports summarizing testing outcomes, defect status, and overall software quality.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and accuracy.
• Perform database testing to ensure data consistency and reliability.
• Apply advanced QE processes and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Utilize various test design techniques to create robust and comprehensive test cases.
• Adapt to Iterative Waterfall project methodologies and ensure testing activities align with project timelines.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and improve software quality.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proficiency in Spanish (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of QA principles and practices.
• Experience in developing and executing test cases.
• Ability to create detailed test plans, strategies, and exit reports.
• Proficiency in SQL and database testing.
• Expert-level knowledge of QE processes, methodologies, and test design techniques.
• Experience with Iterative Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
