The Corporate Management Services Branch strives to provide excellence in corporate services, and partners in both the Ministry of Attorney General’s and the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General’s outcomes.  Our mission as a central, consolidated support services team is to support all the program areas and branches.  The Branch provides central corporate services to all staff and branches/programs within both Ministries.  The Branch leads the strategic direction for internal communications for the sector, as well as preparation of budget submissions and financial reporting, and expert advice on finances, strategic human resources, facilities, business planning and corporate risk and security.  The Branch is also the lead strategic link between its partners and government’s central agencies.

To manage the provision of internal communications planning, advice and services for the Ministries of Attorney General and Public Safety and Solicitor General.  Works closely with Branch staff and with ministry management to ensure staff receive relevant, timely, consistent, integrated and clear information aligned with public service and ministry goals, objectives, values and culture.

Where appropriate, works with and as a resource to branches across the ministries to provide advice on strategic communications planning and employee engagement. As well, works in collaboration with GCPE to ensure alignment with public/external communications.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, or business administration, or public administration, or communications. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience drafting a variety of communication materials including plans, strategies, ministerial correspondence, presentations, newsletters and web documents.
  • Experience establishing and fostering effective working partnerships with a diverse group of internal and external shareholders.
  • Experience presenting a variety of materials, strategies and plans to senior leadership.
