The Team
Our team supports key programs such as Resources, Out of Care, Recruitment,  CYSN (Children and Youth with Support Needs), CYHM (Children and Youth with Mental Health), Youth Justice, and Guardianship. We collaborate closely with social workers, clinicians, and the executive team to provide essential administrative support, allowing our colleagues to focus on their core responsibilities. The Role
As an Office Manager, you will provide vital support to program management and staff by coordinating various office administration functions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing human resources, payroll, records management, facilities, and asset management. In addition to supervising administrative staff, you will assist social workers with financial management and support multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists. You will also interact with the public to help them access services. This role requires in-depth knowledge of programs such as mental health, child protection, guardianship, and adoption. You will be responsible for mentoring administrative staff and ensuring smooth coordination among teams. Your work will play a crucial role in delivering care and support to vulnerable minors, ensuring they receive the attention and assistance they deserve.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Certificate or coursework in business or office administration and one (1) year related experience; OR
  • Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and two (2) years related experience; OR
  • Evergreen and three (3) years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
     

Related years of experience in each of the following:

  • Experience providing administrative and financial support services for a group of staff.
  • Experience supervising others.
  • Experience working with standard office procedures.
     

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • One (1) year experience working with any of the following systems. Integrated case management system (ICM), Management Information System (MIS), Enterprise Document and Record Management System (EDRMS), Community and Residential Information System (CRIS), or Corrections Network (CORNET).
  • Six (6) months experience working with vulnerable children and families in a human/ social services setting.
  • One (1) year experience directly supervising administrative staff in an office setting.

About this Position:
There are currently two positions available. One position will support the Resources, Out of Care, Recruitment and CYSN team and the other position support the CYMH, Youth Justice and Guardianship team.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
