The Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training provides leadership and direction for post-secondary education and skills training systems in British Columbia as well as labour market information and programs.
The Workforce Innovation and Skills Training Division is made up of a client-focused team that provides strategy and data-driven advice to the Premier, Minister and senior executive across a broad range of labour market and immigration issues, ultimately to guide government’s role and contribution in managing British Columbia’s number one asset – the hard work, ingenuity and skills of its people. Reporting into the office of the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) the Manager of Division Operations performs a critical role as it serves as a key liaison between the ADMs Office, Ministry’s Deputy Minister’s Office, Division Executive and other internal and external stakeholders. This position provides strategic direction and oversight to the executive operations, management and coordination of executive priorities, ensures the flow of information to/from senior executive offices are not disrupted and are meeting ministry deadlines and goals. The Manager of Division Operations also supports the development of the service plan, issues management, project management, and the management of communications and finances.

You have positive experiences working collaboratively with Executive team members, program staff and senior officials to develop and respond to a high volume of information and requests. In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Completion of Grade 12 plus a minimum of 5 years related experience as noted below; OR relevant post-secondary training plus a minimum of 3 years related experience as noted below.
Related experience must include a combination of the following:
- Experience in a senior administrative role working in an executive office.
- Experience dealing with highly confidential and sensitive issues.
- Experience organizing strategies to manage diverse workloads effectively and independently.
- Experience handling multiple priorities concurrently.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following experience:
- Experience coordinating cross-divisional and cross-ministry projects.
- Experience working in an ADM or DM office.
- Experience working with MS OneNote.
