The Workforce Innovation and Skills Training Division is responsible for analysing labour market demand and conditions across all sectors in B.C.’s diverse economy and recommending strategies and approaches to meet B.C.’s training needs for the ever-evolving labour market. The division leads engagement and consultation with sectors to inform ongoing labour market challenges and training needs. A guiding plan for the division is the BC Labour Market Outlook.

In this role you will be responsible for administering, implementing and managing digital and outreach initiatives in support of the dissemination of labour market information to the citizens of British Columbia. This position leads/manage projects with a range of internal and external stakeholders and assigned resources and is accountable for defining and controlling all project activities to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget and specified quality.  This position will be responsible for the management, tracking and reporting of web analytics. The senior project management analyst also manages and coordinates User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for and related sites. This position also supervisors two business application advisors.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree in business, public administration, computer science or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience managing website and/or IT-related projects.
  • Minimum of one year experience in supervising or directing the work of contracted and/or staff resources.

Preference may be given to those with:

  • Experience using content management systems (i.e. Kentico, Drupal, CMS Lite, etc.)
  • Experience in coordinating and performing user acceptance testing (UAT), including troubleshooting and logging issues and defects.
  • Experience in analytics (i.e. WebTrends, SnowPlow, etc.)
